Why do these conceptual renderings and cost estimates differ from those shared during the planning study?
In response to questions and feedback we received during the planning study, a Campaign Building Advisory Committee was formed includingSacred Heart and Salina Catholic Schools leadership, the architect and parent volunteers. The committee met weekly over a five-week period to revise the building plans, incorporating the feedback we received, and to secure updated cost estimates.

Why have the cost estimates increased for each of the building projects?
The cost estimates provided during the planning study were preliminary and based on a cost per square-foot basis. Once the Campaign Building Advisory Committed finalized revisions to the building projects, more detailed cost estimates were secured. In addition to the $350,000increase to materials, the new cost estimates include architect/ engineering fees and contingency costs.

I’ve just recently made a gift in support of the Raising Saints Annual Fund. How does the Raising Saints Annual Fund differ from the Expanding Spirit, Mind and Body Legacy Campaign?
Raising Saints monies close the gap between tuition and the actual cost of educating a student, providing unrestricted support for the current academic year’s day-to-day operating expenses. In comparison, funds raised through the Expanding Spirit, Mind and Body Legacy Campaign will address the extraordinary needs of the campaign that exceed our annual operating budget.

Who will be asked to support the Expanding Spirit, Mind and Body Legacy Campaign?
Every Salina Catholic Schools stakeholder — alumni, current parents, past parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, foundations and friends —will be invited to prayerfully consider making a sacrificial pledge to the Expanding Spirit, Mind and Body Legacy Campaign.

How did you determine the order in which the projects would be completed?
The order of the projects was determined by the “domino effect” of the renovations. Relocating the chapel to the front of the building freed up space for the band room. When we finish the fitness center, the art studio can be relocated to the former weight room. Then, the current art room and library can be transformed into the Knights Academic Center.

What percentage of the funds raised will be used to pay for the fundraising firm?
We are deeply thankful for a generous lead gift, thoughtfully allocated to cover the costs of the planning study and capital campaign. Every donation to the Expanding Spirit, Mind, and Body Legacy Campaign will go directly toward supporting the campaign’s projects and objectives.

Is my pledge legally binding? Will my pledge be kept confidential?
A pledge is not legally binding, but rather a commitment made in good faith. We ask that you advise us of any financial changes that mayimpact your pledge. All gifts and pledges will be kept confidential with only the people responsible for maintaining campaign records having access to your commitment.

Can I designate or restrict my gift to a certain area of the campaign?
Unrestricted gifts to the campaign will support all projects included in the scope of the campaign and allow Sacred Heart to complete the projects in a timely manner. However, donors may designate their gift to support a certain campaign project by noting it on the pledge card.

When will I receive more information about the campaign and how I can make a pledge?
